International cooperation started as project COORENOR
Foedus ctivities were formalized. Members meeting was established and the first president elected.
Foedus was registered as a legal entity under commercial register.
Foedus is a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating the international exchange of organs for transplantation, with an emphasis on communication supported by advanced information technologies and the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
All activities related to organ donation, allocation, procurement and transplantation are carried out in full compliance with the EU directive and the national legislation of each participating country.
The President is the elected executive representative of the Association.
The Secretary is the elected statutory representative of the Association.
The Board Meeting serves as the supreme body of the Association, with the authority to elect its President and Secretary.
Foedus currently has 18 members, representing 24 European counties. New members are accepted on written application, subject to approval of the Board.
The platform is accessible only to authorised Members and allows the uploading and distribution of organ offers and urgent requests among all participants. It fully respects existing bilateral and multilateral agreements.
All activities of the Foedus Association comply with the national legislation of its Members. The cloud-based platform complies with Directive 95/46/EC and Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
